ICC™ (Ideal Commercial Cow) isn’t a fad or just a trait index. It is a philosophy of creating cows throughout the globe that truly impact a better world.
Nearly 12 years ago, Les Fermes Erskine (Erskine Farms) in Quebec, Canada, had reached a crossroads in their breeding program. After 8 years of utilizing A.I., Jason Erskine realized he had successfully created a herd of oversized broken cows. While determined to change his herd’s trajectory, Jason happened to meet GENEX’s Dany Fontaine, area sales manager in Canada. Dany described the idea of a smaller, more efficient, healthier kind of cow that would give more milk with higher components. This kind of cow is the ICC™ cow.
We recently caught up with Jason and asked about his experience breeding a herd of ideal commercial cows over the last 12 years. Click here to read the full story and hear firsthand from Jason how ICC™ is better for the farm, better for the cow, better for the consumer, and, ultimately, the way GENEX creates a better world!
