VAS UPDATES

Permettre une gestion des troupeaux basée sur les données dans le monde entier

As the dairy industry continues to evolve, technology plays a vital role in improving efficiency and optimizing herd performance. With data being generated from nearly every aspect of the farm thanks to these tools, a centralized platform is essential for storing, analyzing, and leveraging these insights.

Through strong collaboration with industry partners, VAS integrates on-farm technologies with herd management data in DairyComp, VAS PULSE Platform, and MyDC on PULSE – giving dairy producers a seamless way to manage data, enhance efficiency and unlock new opportunities for herd optimization.

With over 50 industry partnerships, VAS is committed to transforming data into actionable insights. Here’s a look at how some of these collaborations are improving the way farmers manage their herds.

Performance Monitoring

Milk production data is one of the most valuable data points on a dairy. By integrating data from parlor systems, milk testing, and processors, VAS provides a comprehensive view of milk production trends alongside other herd metrics. This allows producers to fine-tune rations, optimize milking routines, and detect potential health concerns, such as mastitis or reproductive challenges before they become costly problems.

Through our integration with AgSource and other records processing organizations, test day data seamlessly integrates into VAS PULSE Platform, ensuring dairy producers have accurate, real-time milk recording data to support better management decisions.

Activity Monitoring Systems

Integrating activity monitoring data from Alta COW WATCH and GENEX HerdMonitor with herd management software enhances heat detection and reproductive management, leading to more precise breeding decisions and improved conception rates.

By bringing activity data and herd records together in one place, producers can easily track behavioral trends, identify potential health concerns, and make data-driven breeding decisions.

For example, when a cow is bred, her activity level index is automatically recorded alongside her breeding event entry. By leveraging specialized reports within DairyComp, producers can analyze conception trends, services per conception, and activity levels – helping determine the optimal time to breed and improve reproductive outcomes.

I wanted an activity monitoring system that worked well with our herd management without too much hassle. With DairyComp, we didn’t have to limit our options because it works with a variety of on-farm technologies.

Sort Gate Integrations

Automated sort gates help streamline workflow, reduce manual labor, and improve animal handling efficiency. When a monitoring system detects a potential issue, the sort gate automatically directs the cow to a designated area for evaluation, treatment, or breeding—reducing pen disruption and minimizing lockup time.

By partnering with leading technology providers, VAS ensures that automated sorting seamlessly integrates with herd management software, making it easier for producers to implement efficient, data-driven herd management practices.

Empowering Dairy Producers

At VAS, we believe collaboration drives innovation. By working with industry leaders, we create a centralized, data-driven ecosystem that empowers dairy producers to make impactful decisions and optimize herd performance.
