Safety is just as important to our customers as it is to us. A strong safety program instills trust and confidence, customer satisfaction, improved brand reputation, compliance and legal protection, and, ultimately, long-term customer relationships. Below are a few ways that safety touches us and our customers.
1. Safety is at the core of our Artificial Insemination (AI) services. One of the more compelling cases for having AI services at farms is the ability to separate or eliminate bulls, making farming safer.
2. Customers can leverage our expertise in performing the work safely. We can perform our services in a more standardized and safer manner than others can.
3. Internally, at URUS, having a strong safety program helps ensure we can be there for our customers. When we get injured, we may miss work or be restricted in what we can do for them.
4. If we perform work outside of the law or compliance requirements, we put our customers at risk of compliance violation. An example of this may be working with the equipment we are not authorized to operate or to work on equipment that is not properly guarded.
5. With a continuous improvement mindset in safety, we are routinely looking and promoting ways to reduce risk and protect ourselves and our customers. We can leverage what we have learned to help our customers identify opportunities for risk reduction.
Safety is a value-added proposition for both our customers and us. We sometimes hear comments that see Safety as something that somehow gets in the way of getting things done. This view loses sight of the larger picture and can hurt our customers. We will find a way to perform work safely and fulfill our obligations to our people and customers.
