Collaboration plays a key role in advancing calf health and ensuring a sustainable future for the dairy and beef industries. At SCCL, we work closely with sister companies and industry partners to promote colostrum management. We support producers and veterinarians with science-backed solutions by sharing Fachwissen and resources. Through joint initiatives, training, and educational webinars, we foster innovation and strengthen best practices across the industry.
A core element of our collaboration is hands-on training and educational sessions. SCCL partners with Alta teams worldwide to share insights on colostrum management. Recently, SCCL’s Dr. Juliana Mergh Leao und Klaas-Willem Nieuwland led a three-day training with the Alta team in Europe, discussing best practices in colostrum management. Dr. Juliana also visited northern Italy to work with Alta Italy and local farmers, emphasizing the importance of colostrum for calf health.
I had the incredible opportunity to visit northern Italy with the amazing Alta Italy team, engaging with passionate farmers and discussing the crucial role of colostrum management and calf health. It was a fantastic experience to be alongside a highly motivated team from Alta

Additionally, our team, including Dr. Travis White und Dr. Isela Ceballos, work closely with the Alta Mexico team to highlight colostrum feeding practices. In the US, we collaborate with distributors on customer meetings, training sessions, and calf ranch tours to further educate and support producers.
Last year was also a year full of visits and webinars. We welcomed the GENEX US team to our Saskatoon headquarters, where we delivered in-depth training on colostrum solutions. Our webinars with GENEX, VAS, and Trans Ova Genetics reached over 400 attendees, reinforcing our role as a trusted resource in calf health.
Moving forward, SCCL is committed to strengthening collaborations with sister companies and industry partners. By expanding efforts in education, research, and customer support, we aim to create synergies that benefit both our teams and the broader industry.
