In the last few months, the Alta Genetics International team has been working diligently to strengthen relationships in markets, educate customers and prospects, and expand product offerings to different markets. With the hard work of the Alta International Sales Managers (ISM), many of these accomplishments have been new and exciting ‘firsts’ for the team.
In June, the first session of a multi-series Vet Academy training took place for local vets in Estonia who are employed on key customers’ dairy farms. This training focused specifically on reproduction. Alta ISM Daniela Vasiliu collaborated with Dimedium, one of our Alta distributors, to create these valuable training sessions for Estonian vets.
Alta ISM Dr. David Chalack and leadership from our Alta Japan distributor visited Canada in June to see Alta COW WATCH in action. Alta Canada’s Darren Hipkin was a host for this group, providing them with information on Alta COW WATCH and how big of an impact it can make on dairies. Alta’s Nancy Henderson was also there to share the latest insights on Alta GPS with the Alta Japan team so they can better support customers with genetic advising.
In September, the first Alta COW WATCH system with the Nedap Now platform was installed on a dairy in Kazakhstan. Thanks to Alta ISM Janis Teruads, Valters Roms, an Alta distributor, and Nedap, this Alta COW WATCH install was a great success!
The Alta International Team hosted two repro and AI trainings within their markets in September. One was held in Slovakia, while the other one was in Azerbaijan. Participants in both trainings learned best practices from Alta ISM’s Stuart Bright, Adelina Ignea, and Janis Terauds.
In September, Alta International successfully sent the first pallet of colostrum to Jordan. Alta ISM Malik Ali worked diligently with the SCCL and Alta teams to register and ship the product. Alta is excited to hear successful stories of healthy calves starting their lives off right in Jordan!
