Backed by TRUE BLUE support and passion, dairy genetics remains as one of the core tools that Alta Genetics uses to gain and maintain long-standing relationships with clients. This fall, Alta Genetics launched the 2024 Alta Dairy World Cup, a competition focused on recognizing teams and individuals for their focus, contributions, and sales related to dairy genetics.
This global dairy semen sales competition commenced in September 2024 and ran through the end of December 2024. Throughout the competition, exceptional sales skills were demonstrated at a country team level as well as an individual level. In early 2025, final results were calculated and announced for three different categories of awards.
At the end of the competition period, each Alta Vice President of Sales nominated up to three Most Improved Player candidates based on participant improvement in dairy semen sales. Alta’s global leadership team then selected one overall Most Improved Player.
MIP Winner: Rui Fernandes, Brazil
Each month during the event, the Alta Vice President of Sales for each region nominated one MVP for their region based on dairy semen sales performance. At the conclusion of the competition period, these nominees were considered for the 2024 Alta Dairy World Cup MVP.
MIP Winner: Jim Powers, USA
Each month during the event, Alta named the top three markets globally for dairy semen sales, crowning the final winners based on the full competition period results. Performance was based on dairy semen units sold and revenue above forecast, leveling the playing field to ensure all countries could win regardless of the size of the market.
